Thanks to all that sent in correspondence regarding the transfer policy. Over 300 emails were sent in our favour. The local support we show can have an impact.
We have a few presenters from the Beacon Hill Community speaking at the upcoming delegation meeting at the school board this Monday, November 23 (for details, click here). We need your support. Members of our team and I will be at the door passing out buttons and posters again.
This meeting, unlike previous meetings, is to OCDSB trustees. These trustees are the people that will decide the fate of Colonel By on the 15th of December, and are people that you elect every four years when you cast your municipal vote.
It grieves me to have to inform you, but through this process it has recently (in the last couple of days) come to my attention that it is very possible that a certain OCDSB trustee will be making a motion on December 7th or December 15th to close Colonel By.
This may seem outrageous and unlikely, but unfortunately there are certain trustees that would benefit from the closure of a successful school like Colonel By.
