Dear Residents,

Just a quick note, the Neighbourhood Watch evening that was originally scheduled for today, Thursday, November 20th has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

I have spoken to Constable Wayne Wilson, and BHNCA will be hosting a Neighbourhood Watch evening in the near future. Stay Tuned!

Also of note, there is a multi-councillor public meeting being held today Thursday, November 20th , 6:30-8:30 pm at the Orleans theatre at 255 Centrum Boulevard.

Your local councillor Michel Bellemare will be there to hear your views in regards to the proposed City of Ottawa budget.

There are several items of concern that can and will affect our community.

- Elimination of all outdoor rink grants - wiping out the City's 240 outdoor rinks.
- Removal of funding for the new park security/enforcement program designed to deal with vandalism and misbehaviour in and around parks etc.
- Cutting weekend hours of public libraries
- Increases in ice rental costs by 51%

I will be attending, and invite anyone else that has similar worries over our city services to attend as this is your opportunity to express your concerns.
